Trip to Memphis

Last week dad had to go to Vegas for a conference.  So, mom, Wilson, Miller,  & Granna went to Memphis.  We went to the zoo, the children's museum, swam, and went to visit all our great-aunts that live there as well.  Thanks Suz.  for letting us stay with you!  Wilson has been planning his next trip to Memphis since we got in the car to come home- who needs the strip!?

End of the Year Party

We had a great ending to a FABULOUS year at preschool. Everybody went to Shelton's house to play in his dirt pile and jump on an inflatable slide/castle. We intended to have water on the slide, but it was unseasonably cold and we opted for dry sliding. The last picture is Wilson with Mrs. Angie- the best preschool teacher you could ask for. She had to put her sunglasses on when she hugged everyone goodbye so they wouldn't see her crying!

Date Night

A few weeks ago Phil surprised me with a great date night.  We went to Easely Amused and painted Picasso portraits of each other.  So far Miller has been the most impressed with our talent.  We had a great time- thanks for a great night, Babe!

This is more like it!

Round two of tubes went quite well.  Miller read a little of Carl Goes to the Park and removed her allergy alert ankle bands while waiting for the anesthesiologist to come (she doesn't like being defined by labels).  She took her goofy juice like a good girl and quickly became the fun little party girl we all love.  The nurses came to get me when it was over with and said she had yet to shed one tear- she just woke up and picked her arms up for someone to come hold her!  She has done great all afternoon, too.  She had one little throw up spell on the way home, but as soon as we got here I couldn't stop her from running around and chattering about everything.  She then took a three hour nap this afternoon and went to hang out at Pat Pat's for dinner while I went to Bible Study (and obviously enjoyed her daddy's dessert as is evident by the picture).  This is a far cry from how she was doing post op last time and hopefully it will stay this way.  Dr. Lee did save the old tube for me to look at("in case I thought he was crazy").  It was completely clogged with crud and was, as diagnosed, "unsalvagable".  Thankfully it's gone and new ones are in place.  Onward & upward .  .  .
Thank you, Pat Pat, for hanging out with me in the waiting room.  It was nice to have some company.

Prayer Request . . .

Little Miss Moo has got to go back to the ENT tomorrow to have her tubes replaced.  Apparently not only can tubes not prevent ear infections, your body can also reject them- thereby causing an ear infection.  Her left tube is "not salvageable" and so they replace the whole set to keep them on the same page as far as care and when they should fall out.  We pray that this new set works, will heal, and will bring an end to some pretty pitifullness(not to mention sleepless nights) around here.  We thank you for joining with us!!

A few Easter pics

Can you say . . .

 . . . Miller?
"milmur"

 . . . Wilson?
"wison"

Miller is really starting to get chatty and can repeat (in some shape or fashion) most words  you ask her to say (despite the fact that her left tube is yet again clogged and infected)!!

Other new words- shoe (she is constantly bringing us our shoes), baby (whom she makes drinking sounds for as she feeds it it's bottle, then says "ahhh", she could also be asking you to read one of her Princess Baby books) duck qua- qua- qua, cup cup, cacker(used to get any time of food, not just crackers) side-side (outside).  She also knows a few animal sounds and was just playing with a "ca"(car).

She loves to talk on anybody's cell phone, iphone, blackberry, remote control, ipod or anything else that can remotely resemble a telephone.  She picks it up says "hiyo", puts the phone between her face and shoulder and wanders around babbling, then says "bye bye" and closes or puts down the phone.  One day Wilson was at a friend's house and the friend's mom was trying to call to let me know it was time for Wilson to come home.  An hour after she called I happen to check my email and we had a voicemail.  Hmm, that's odd- I didn't hear the phone ring.  That's because little Miss Moo had had the phone off the hook for the past 125 minutes!!

Birthday Party Fun

Wilson's friend Shelton had a dirt birthday party a few weeks ago.  What a blast!  His mom had a truck load of dirt dumped in the backyard for the kids to dig in.  Wilson was filthy and happy by the time we left.  Shelton has a great backyard and Miller had so much fun roaming around trying out all the big kid stuff.  These swings were top on her list.

Wilson's First T-Ball Game

Posted by Picasa

I don't even want to know . . .

I just put Miller on her changing table to put on a fresh diaper.  When I opened the old one, her new toothbrush fell out.  Needless to say, she did not think too highly of her first dental appointment yesterday.

Sorry for the long blogging hiatus.  I've been trying to learn my way around our new Mac and how in the world to load, edit, and post pictures in this new "iworld".  I think I've finally got it and hope to be putting up pictures of our new sandbox, Easter, Wilson's first program and t-ball game and much more very soon!!
