Like A Spider Dream

Since he was just barely walking, Wilson has had this cute little quirk where after his bath, before you put his jammies on, he tucks his elbows into his sides and rubs his arms back and forth. We've always called it rowing his boat. He started doing it tonight and added a little musical accompaniment to it :

"Row, row, row your boat

gently down the stream.

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily

LIKE A SPIDER DREAM."

We've been singing that song for 3-1/2 years now and I just found out he thinks the words are "like a spider dream"! He also sings "Lightning McQueen" (aka- Life is a Highway- the Rascal Flatts version) at the top of his lungs and it's re-written lyrics are a hoot. For example ". . . a roads a road- 'EES I MO' . . ." (it should be "this I know" for those of you who are having to sing the song from the beginning to get to that part to figure out what he's trying to say). He's long had a love of music and has always picked up quickly on lyrics. His very first was when he was just a little over a year. I started hearing him in the backseat making a repetitive sound- "sa-ight, sa-ight, sa-ight". I finally payed attention. He was making the sound when the Bon Jovi song "Who Says You Can't Go Home" would come on. The chorus repeats "It's alright, It's alright, It's alright." Look out American Idol!
On the Miller front, she seems about the same. Not fussy at all but very congested and very sleepy. Tonight after she had slept in her swing while we ate supper, I cleaned up the kitchen, folded the laundry, and got Wilson started on his bath, I went and got her out. She has slept through her nightly routine for 2 or 3 nights now meaning she has not had her reflux medicine or a bath. I carried her upstairs (talking to her the whole time trying to wake her up), undressed her, and put her in her tub. She woke up a little and smiled during her bath and then fussed a little when she had to get out and was cold while I dressed her. After I got her diaper and gown on, she started acting sleepy again. So, I handed her her pink puppy and paci and SHE FELL ASLEEP ON THE CHANGING TABLE. I strapped her on, went and finished Wilson's bath, brushed teeth, rowed the boat, put on jammies, read books, prayed, went back in her room and she was still out cold. So, I moved her to her bed without so much as a stretch of the arm or squint of the eye and there she still lays. She has not eaten since about 4:30. Be looking for a new blog look again if I have to get up 3!! Good Night.
I'll . . . just . . .

sleep . . . here. Yeah, here's good.
